چکیده
This work investigated the process of land use and cover in municipality Itarema. It is located geographic coordinates Latitude (S) 2º 55’ 13” Longitude (W) 39º 54’ 54” northern region state Ceará, with an area 720.7 km² semi-arid region. The objective this study was to analyze changes Itarema for period from 2000 2020, Landsat 5 8 series orbital remote sensing data evaluate evolutionary behavior landscape. methodology used literary review (Leite Rosa 2012) IBGE Land Use Technician Manual (2013). Technical procedures related images recorded respectively 2020 were applied. Comparing the Capability of Sentinel 2 and Landsat 8 Satellite Imagery in Land Use and Land Cover Mapping Using Pixel-based and Object-based Classification Methods
Introduction: Having accurate and up-to-date information on the status of land use and land cover change is a key point to protecting natural resources, sustainable agriculture management and urban development. Preparing the land cover and land use maps with traditional methods is usually time and cost consuming. Nowadays satellite imagery provides the possibility to prepare these maps in less ...
متن کاملAssessment the effect of drought and land use change on vegetation using Landsat data
Drought is a disaster phenomenon especially in arid and semi-arid areas. Vegetation and its production play a main role in the social and economic issues in every country. In this study, Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI) and Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) data have been used to monitor drought and the vegetation condition in Sonqor Abad in, Kermanshah province. Meteoro...
متن کاملReconstructing Historical Land Cover Type and Complexity by Synergistic Use of Landsat Multispectral Scanner and CORONA
Survey data describing land cover information such as type and diversity over several decades are scarce. Therefore, our capacity to reconstruct historical land cover using field data and archived remotely sensed data over large areas and long periods of time is somewhat limited. This study explores the relationship between CORONA texture—a surrogate for actual land cover type and complexity—wi...
متن کاملLand-use/Land-cover Classification with Multispectral and Hyperspectral EO-1 Data
We compared the capability of the Earth Observing-1 (EO-1) Hyperion hyperspectral (HS) data with that of the EO-1 Advanced Land Imager (ALI) multispectral (MS) data for discriminating different land-use and land-cover classes in Fremont, California. We designed a classification scheme of two levels with level I including general classes and level II including more specific classes. Classificati...
متن کاملLand Use and Land Cover Change Detection and Urban Sprawl Analysis of Vijayawada City Using Multitemporal Landsat Data
ABSTRACT Land use and land cover change has become a central component in current strategies for managing natural resources and monitoring environmental changes. Urban expansion has brought serious losses of agriculture land, vegetation land and water bodies. Urban sprawl is responsible for a variety of urban environmental issues like decreased air quality, increased runoff and subsequent flood...
